Opposition from the White Earth Band of Ojibwe is delaying a 70-mile all-terrain vehicle trail in Becker County, Minnesota.

The trail would run through parts of the reservation. But a preliminary route was drawn without tribal input.

The tribe is worried that ATV traffic will harm the environment. The tribe wants to be able to enforce its own pending ATV laws on the trail.

Some residents are also opposed to the trail, saying it will hurt the business and the environment. But others say they welcome the ATV traffic.
