Fire at sacred Karuk dance house ruled suspicious

Authorities in Siskiyou County, California, say a fire that destroyed a sacred Karuk dance house is suspicious.

The July 1 fire has not been ruled arson at this point. But leaders and members of the Karuk Tribe believe it was deliberately set.

The dance house was located in the ancient Karuk village of Katimiin. It was used for the Brush Dance, a children's healing ceremony.
