Pueblo officers sue Burger King over pot in burgers

Two officers for Isleta Pueblo in New Mexico sued the Burger King corporation on Friday after they found marijuana in their hamburgers.

"It gives a whole new meaning to the word 'Whopper,'" an attorney for Mark Landavazo and Henry Gabaldon told the Associated Press.

Landavazo and Gabaldon drove to a Burger King in Los Lunas, near the Isleta Reservation, in their patrol car on October 8. They say they ate about half of their meal when they found something in their food.

The officers used a field test kit and the substance turned out to be marijuana. Three Burger King employees have since been indicted for possession of marijuana and aggravated battery on an officer.
