Tex Hall loses re-election bid at Fort Berthold


Tex Hall lost his bid for a third term as chairman of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation on the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota.

Hall was defeated by Marcus Wells Jr., a former council member. Wells received 1,356 votes to Hall's 1,109.

Hall served two-four year terms. He was president of the National Congress of American Indians for two terms.
