South Carolina approves Indian license plate

The state of South Carolina has approved the first specialty Indian license plate.

The sale of the plates will benefit the Native American Prison Program, which helps Native inmates practice their religion. John Abrams, the director of the program, came up with the idea last year.

The plates cost $54 and can be ordered through Abrams.
