Crow woman named to Montana regents board

Janine Pease, a member of the Crow Tribe, has been named to the Montana Board of Regents.

Pease, a longtime educator, is believed to be the first Native American on the board. She is vice president for American Indian affairs at Rocky Mountain College and previously served as president of Little Big Horn College on the Crow Reservation.

Pease was appointed to the state Human Rights Commission but will resign for new post.
