The Navajo Nation Supreme Court ruled that presidential candidate Vern Roy Lee must be placed back on the ballot.
The Navajo Election Administration removed Lee because he listed an off-reservation residents. But he successfully argued that he lives within the traditional boundaries of the Navajo Nation.
At issue was a conflict between the tribe's election code and Navajo fundamental law.
The Supreme Court said there was election code's residency requirement conflicted with fundamental law.
