Venezuela to offer low-cost heating to tribes

Venezuela's oil company is offering discounts on home heating oil to more tribes in the United States.

Citgo Petroleum Corp. already provided the Penobscot Nation of Maine with nearly 1 million gallons of low-cost heating oil. The tribe was able to heat 912 family homes and several tribal complexes through the winter.

Citgo is now reaching out to tribes in the Pacific Northwest, where a meeting with tribal leaders is being held today. Tribes in the Southwest also have been contacted.
