Makah Nation gets some help amid water woes

The Makah Nation of Washington will receive a water purification system from the U.S. Navy.

The system will enable the tribe to recover from a water shortage. Less than two days of water are left in storage, prompting the tribe to declare a state of emergency.

Restrictions on water use have prevented the emergency from turning into a major disaster.
