Oneida Nation needs help stocking pantry

The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin needs help stocking its pantry as more and more families seek assistance.

The pantry has received fewer and fewer donations. But the number of families who ask for help has doubled since the beginning of the year.

"We need help. We need it pretty bad," Gary Smith, the pantry emergency network coordinator, told The Green Bay Press Gazette.

The pantry has received some support from the Oneida Nation's gaming enterprise. But funds from outside sources have dried up.

The pantry serves all families on the reservation and off-reservation families with at least one Native tribal member.
