Clarence Police, founder of Navajo Santa, dies

Clarence Police, one of the founders of the Navajo Santa program, died of cancer on Wednesday. He was 51.

Police dressed as Santa and brought gifts to Navajo youth in Utah for the past 15 years. He just wanted to see those families with smiling faces," his wife Sarah told The Salt Lake Tribune.

Police's nickname was "Second Santa." "He had a big heart and a big soul. He will be missed," said Susan Delorme, a friend.

The Navajo Santa program will continue this year on December 2 and December 3.
