House hearing on Indian Health Care Improvement

The House Natural Resources Committee is holding a hearing this morning on H.R. 1328, the Indian Health Care Improvement Act Amendments of 2007.

The bill would reauthorize the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, which expired in 2000. Efforts to renew the law have been met with opposition and delays from the Bush administration.

The committee will hear from federal officials, tribal leaders and Indian health advocates. The witness list follows:
