Hearings on Indian Health Care Improvement Act

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a hearing this week on the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. The House Natural Resources Committee follows with one next week.

The activity comes amid the introduction of a bill to reauthorize the act, which expired in 2000. The measure is expected to be introduced in the House and Senate this week.

The Senate hearing takes place Thursday, March 8, at 9:30am. The House hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14, at 10am.
