Pit River council removes chairwoman from office

Jessica Jim has been ousted as chairwoman of the Pit River Tribe of California.

Jim was removed by the tribal council on Saturday. The move came after Jim organized tribal meetings to restore her powers.

Jim had been stripped of several of her duties following allegations of mismanagement. But she was still sitting on the council and kept her title.
