Two luxury hotels proposed on Agua Caliente land

Two high-end hotel resorts are being proposed on land owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians in California.

The Hard Rock Hotel and the Mondrian hotel would be located on tribal land in downtown Palm Springs. The sites are near the convention center, The Riverisde Press-Enterprise reported.

The tribe is still reviewing plans for the projects. The Mondrian project received backing from a city commission last week.
