Fond du Lac Band offers reward for threat against chair

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians is offering a $5,000 reward for information about a threat made against Chairwoman Karen Diver.

Diver found a dead deer on her front lawn on Sunday. A "threatening" letter was tucked in the deer's mouth, police chief Wally Dupuis said.

Diver is the first woman to lead the Minnesota tribe. She survived an ouster attempt in January.
