Ron His Horse is Thunder, the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, will help the Democratic Party draft its presidential platform.
His Horse is Thunder joins other state and federal officials on the platform drafting committee. He is the only Native American on the panel.
The platform will be unveiled at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August.
