Nighthorse Campbell stumps for Sen. McCain
Ex-Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colorado), a registered lobbyist, is campaigning in Indian Country for Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona).

Campbell, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, recently spoke to the Midwest Alliance of Sovereign Nations to promote the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. "McCain has a record of a quarter of century of helping Indian tribes," Campbell said, The Appleton Post-Crescent reported.

Campbell served with McCain on the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, before retiring in 2004. He works for the the Holland & Knight firm as a lobbyist and his 2008 clients include the National Indian Gaming Association and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York, according to Senate records.
