Rival Little Shell Chippewa group to swear in leadership
A rival faction of the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana will swear in its tribal council tomorrow.

The Little Shell Chippewa Alliance elected John Gilbert as new chairman. The group opposes President John Sinclair and his leadership.

The tribe is recognized by the state but has been denied federal recognition by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
