Haskell coach travels far and wide for basketball recruits
Ted Juneau, the basketball coach at Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas, travels throughout Indian Country in search of potential stars.

Juneau can only make one or two big trips a year. And he doesn't have much to offer students at the federally-funded school.

But Haskell offers a unique opportunity for some Indian players who wouldn't otherwise get a shot at playing at the college level. "Pretty much after high school on the rez, it's a dead end after that," Vince Chavez, a member of the Chemehuevi Tribe told the Associated Press. "If you come here and you try to better yourself, it's going to be better for you in the long run.''
