Couple enters guilty pleas for hate crime against Native man
A man and woman could each face up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a hate crime attack on an Alaska Native man.

Robert Gum, 19, and Deanna Scaglione, 21, admitted they violated Eddie Barr's civil rights. They threw eggs and objects at him, pushed him, kicked him and yelled racial slurs at him on the streets of Anchorage in the early morning hours of July 28, 2009.

"Hey, dog, you want to get shot?" Gum said, according to a video of the account that the couple posted on YouTube. He also said: "We'll hit this (racial slur) with a bat," and "You are dumb, you're a f--ing Native."

The couple face assault and harassment in state court for the incident.
