Second defendant sentenced in death of Quinault Nation man

A member of the Yakama Nation of Washington was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for the death of Daniel Simmons, who was a member of the Quinault Nation.

Johnathon Frank, 21, had pleaded guilty to a charge of assault leading to serious injury. His uncle, Lance Frank, 35, was already sentenced to 90 months for his role in the July 19, 2009, incident.

The Franks were reportedly involved in a long-running dispute with Frank's family. The crime occurred on the Yakama Nation.
