Pueblo business helps to raise money for family struck by fire

A Pueblo business owner is helping raise money for a fellow entrepreneur whose family lost everything in a fire on Tuesday.

Susie Dominguez, 77, is known at Laguna Pueblo and Acoma Pueblo as the Sno-Cone Lady. Her home and all of her property -- including her ice machine and sno-cone equipment -- were destroyed.

Shayai Lucero, the owner of Earth & Sky Floral Designs and Gallery at Laguna, heard about the tragedy and is donating a portion of her sales to Dominguez and her daughter. Donations are also being accepted to the "Susie and Vanessa Dominguez Donation Fund" at any Wells Fargo Bank.

"Everybody here has been served by her at least once," Lucero told The Albuquerque Journal. "She's been so nice to so many children in our community, it's our time to help her out."
