Auburn Tribe joins efforts to keep NBA team in Sacramento

The United Auburn Indian Community of California is trying to keep the Kings basketball team in Sacramento.

The tribe agreed to pledge $1 million for the effort. That's in addition to the $7 million that Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson has secured in pledges.

The tribe leases a luxury box for hockey games worth about $300,000 a year, Marcos Breton of The Sacramento Bee reported.
