Oneida Nation presents its seventh $1M donation to NMAI

The Oneida Nation of New York presented its seventh $1 million donation to the National Museum of the American Indian on Wednesday.

NMAI Director Kevin Gover visited the Oneida Reservation to accept the check. We can use it to tell a different story — a new, more complete story than has been told to the American people in the past,” he said of the museum's mission, The Syracuse Post-Standard reported.

The tribe has pledged a total of $10 million to the museum.
