Tahnee Robinson to make debut on Connecticut Sun team

Tahnee Robinson, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, will make her WNBA debut tonight.

Robinson is the first Native American player in the WNBA. And her team, the Connecticut Sun, is owned by the Mohegan Tribe.

"I am excited and just the fact that they are owned by a Native American tribe is just icing on top of the cake, I guess," Robinson told Journal Register News Service. "For me, it is just amazing to be a part of it.”

Robinson will be playing an exhibition game against the Chinese national team tonight.
