Women survivors honored at Rainbow of Ribbons powwow

The second-annual Rainbow of Ribbons powwow was held in Washington over the weekend.

"C" WarriorWoman Smith organized the powwow to honor women who have survived breast cancer and domestic violence. “We are living heroes, not victims,” Smith told The Bonney Lake-Sumner Patch.

Smith received a $1,000 grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help put on the powwow. Assured Imaging Women's Wellness sent a mobile mammography truck to the powwow.
