Crow Tribe ready to welcome evacuees back to reservation

The Crow Tribe of Montana is welcoming 153 evacuees back to the reservation.

Hundreds of people left the reservation due to massive flooding. Now they're coming home and will be housed at the Multipurpose Center in Crow Agency.

"We are please that they are able to return home," Chairman Cedric Black Eagle told KTVQ. "We have been working tirelessly to prepare for them".

The tribe is still trying to recover from severe rainstorms. The Indian Health Service facility in Crow Agency is out of commission and the water and sewage systems need cleaning and repairs.
