Senate Indian Affairs Committee upcoming hearings and events





The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will be hosting a briefing, a hearing and a roundtable in the coming weeks.

This Thursday, the committee is offering other Congressional staff a "primer" on federal Indian law and policy. A wide range of issues -- from trust to gaming to law enforcement -- are on the agenda.

Next Thursday, July 14, the committee will hold an oversight hearing titled "Native Women: Protecting, Shielding, and Safeguarding Our Sisters, Mothers, and Daughters." The hearing takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Building.
