Senate Indian Affairs Committee business meeting and hearing





The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a business meeting and oversight hearing tomorrow.

The committee will consider the nominations of Cynthia Chavez Lamar, Barbara Jean Ells and Debra Downing Goodman to serve on the board of trustees of the Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development.

Immediately following the meeting, the committee will hold a hearing titled "Native Women: Protecting, Shielding, and Safeguarding Our Sisters, Mothers, and Daughters." The witness list follows:

The meeting and oversight hearing take place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
