Ojibwe man discovers relative in England through online search

An Ojibwe man with roots in Wisconsin recently connected with a cousin he never knew in England.

Stuart Whiteeagle Ackley is heading to the UK to meet Cris McDonald-Constable. They are both descendants of Chief Mee-gee-see, who was from the Sokaogon Chippewa Community.

The cousins found each other through Ancestry.com. McDonald-Constable never knew his father but it turns out he was Mellville McDonald, a World War II serviceman who was Ackley's uncle.

"I was speechless when I found out. After living all my life not knowing who my father was, to find out like this was great," McDonald-Constable told The Lancashire Telegraph.

"The added bonus for me is to meet actual family living in the country," said Ackley of his upcoming trip.
