Native American 40 Under 40 Award to be presented in Florida

The recipients of the Native American 40 Under 40 Award will be honored at the 36th Annual Indian Progress in Business event on Thursday.

This year's winners include Shayai Lucero, a Pueblo entrepreneur from New Mexico; Chief J. Allan, the chairman of the Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho; and Levi Horn, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana who plays for the Chicago Bears.

Two staff members of the Native American Contractors Association -- Dennis Worden of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and Jennine Elias, who is Iñupiaq, Eskimo -- are also on the list.

“The NACA Board is very proud of Dennis Worden and Jennine Elias,” stated NACA Chairman Lance Morgan, “They are upcoming young leaders who personify the success of the Native 8(a) Program.”

This year's ceremony takes place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
