Employee of Quechan Nation due in court on weapons charges





An employee of the Quechan Nation is due in court today after being arrested for making threats at a tribal office.

Andrew Lawrence Paddock is facing 25 counts of weapons violations and a charge of threatening a woman. The September 8 incident occurred at a tribal office in Winterhaven, California.

Authorities later went to Paddock's home in California and found a stash of illegal weapons. Some items were also found in his work locker, local news media reported.

Paddock is being charged in state court. California falls under Public Law 280.
