Crow Tribe reports results of primary for six legislative seats





The Crow Tribe of Montana held a primary election for six legislative seats on Saturday.

In the Center Lodge District, Richard Justin “Jess” Real Bird will face Arnold L. “Lucky Costa” Coyote Runs. The incumbent, Oliver Dan Half Jr., came in third in the primary.

In the Mighty Few District, incumbent Dana Wilson will face Elizabeth S. Old Chief.

In the Black Lodge District, incumbent Conrad J. “CJ” Stewart will face Edward Perry Eastman.

In the Valley of the Chiefs District, Larry Blacksmith will face Leroy Not Afraid. The incumbent, Woodrow “Shorty” Plain Feather, did not advance.

In the Arrow Creek District, Edward Posey “Junior” Whiteman Jr. will face incumbent Carlson E. “Duke” Goes Ahead.

In the Valley of the Give-Away/Big Horn District, incumbent Patrick L. Alden Jr. will face Ada I. Iron.

The general election takes place November 8.
