Ute Tribe breaks ground on $1M upgrade for bowling center

The Ute Tribe of Utah will be spending $1 million to upgrade its original bowling alley.

The Ute Lanes Bowling Center was built in 1976. The tribe hasn't made any changes to the facility since it opened more than 30 years ago.

The new facility will be converted into a family center, with new bowling lanes, a full-service restaurant and a meeting center. It's expected to reopen in March 2012.
