Chairwoman and council member of Ute Tribe face recall bids

The chairwoman of the Ute Tribe of Utah, along with a council member, are facing a recall effort, The Vernal Express reports.

The petition against Chairwoman Irene Cuch accuses her of misconduct by a public official, misappropriation of funds and micromanagement of personnel. The petition against Stewart Pike apparently doesn't mention any charges but he says it's retaliation for the recent suspension of Richard Jenks Jr. from the council.

Jenks is off the council for 90 days due to allegations of neglect of duty.
