Man admits sweat lodge led to major blaze on Blood Reserve

The Blood Tribe of Alberta is considering charges against the person or persons responsible for a large grassfire on the reserve.

Addison Crow Spread His Wings, 57, said the fire started at a sweat lodge in which he and other were participating. "I'm very sorry," he told The Lethbridge Herald recently. "I still feel bad about it."

The fire destroyed two houses, damaged two others and burned thousands of acres. Tribal authorities expect to make a decision about charges in the coming week.
