State park to reopen in March thanks to funds from Hopi Tribe

The Homolovi Ruins State Park in Arizona will reopen March 18 thanks to funds from the Hopi Tribe.

The state closed the park last February due to lack of funds. The tribe came through with $175,000 to reopen the facility and keep it operating for 12 months, with options to renew the agreement.

The park is an ancestral tribal village.
