Chippewa Cree Tribe deals with another round of flooding

Last summer, the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana was hit by major flooding that caused $15 million to $20 million on the Rocky Boy's Reservation.

Heavy rains on Friday led to another round of flooding. Some of the bridges and roads that were repaired after last year's disaster have been damaged again.

"On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say we're probably about a 6 right now," Bobbi Favel, the tribe's transportation planner, told The Great Falls Tribune. "Last year, we were at an 8 or 9."

Some residents have evacuated their homes, some of which were experienced flooding last year, Favel said.
