Mark Trahant: For something different-a slideshow about corn

Most Monday mornings, I write a column. Today for my "column," I am just going to talk into a microphone and show some slides. Something a little different.

As my readers know, I have been watching carefully the back and forth about the federal budget process. The changes, I think, have huge significance for Indian Country.

But more on all that later. This week I'm interested in corn

Mark Trahant is a writer, speaker and Twitter poet. He is a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and lives in Fort Hall, Idaho. Trahant’s new book, “The Last Great Battle of the Indian Wars,” is the story of Sen. Henry Jackson and Forrest Gerard.
