Cobell Lawsuit & Settlement

Cobell critic won't give up appeal despite angry phone calls

Carol Eve Good Bear, one of the objectors to the Indian trust fund lawsuit, won't drop her appeal despite receiving angry phone calls.

Attorneys gave out Good Bear's phone number and address in a recent update about the case. She's received at least 15 calls in the last week, the Associated Press reported.

The appeals have stalled distribution of the $3.4 billion settlement. Oral arguments before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals are scheduled for February 16 and May 15.
