Rep. Lisa Billy (R), a member of the Chickasaw Nation, is sponsoring a bill which declares that "personhood" begins at conception.
Billy appeared at a rally in Oklahoma City on Wednesday to garner support for the controversial measure. SB 1433 already passed the state Senate but awaits action in the House.
Religious groups support the bill. But others say it will lead to a denial of services, like contraception, abortion and in vitro fertilization, to women.
