White House event on settlements in tribal trust lawsuits





The White House is hosting an event at 1:30pm today to discuss settlements in tribal trust cases.

The Obama administration has been in talks with dozens of tribes to settle their trust management lawsuits. Today's announcement involves 41 tribes, according to the White House.

The event will feature Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, Attorney General Eric Holder and other officials. It will be broadcast live at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live.
