Snake handler for Seminole Tribe survives deadly cobra bite





A snake handler for the Seminole Tribe of Florida was bitten by a deadly cobra on Saturday.

Giselle Hosein was taking part in a powwow at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino near Hollywood when she was bit. She was quickly transported to a hospital, where she was treated with an antivenin .She suffered temporary facial paralysis and remains in the intensive care unit.

“It’s a job hazard,” John Jones, the tribe's wildlife manager, told The Miami Herald. He was emceeing the event when Hosein, 24, was bitten.
