Another case of hantavirus reported on Pine Ridge Reservation





The Oglala Sioux Tribe has confirmed a second case of the hantavirus on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

The case comes after a young girl died from the disease. She was reported to be under 10 years of age.

The tribe is now trying to educate people about ways to avoid the hantavirus, which is spread through rodents.

The disease often strikes young and otherwise healthy people.
