Man pleads not guilty in Nez Perce court for murdering mother

The Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho is prosecuting a man in connection with the murder of his mother.

Kenneth D. Broncheau, 47, pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, domestic violence and aggravated arson. Tribal authorities say he shot his 66-year-old mother, Carol Haskell, on June 21 and set her body on fire.

Federal charges are possible pending the results of an FBI probe.
