Fort Peck Tribes distribute per capita from trust fund settlement

Members of the Fort Peck Tribes of Montana lined up on Tuesday to get their share of a $75 million trust fund settlement.

Tribal leaders decided to distribute the money on a per capita basis. The first check was $1,500 and a second of $1,000 will come around Christmas

The tribe has about 13,000 members.
