Judge won't move Navajo Nation case over 'Navajo' products

The Navajo Nation will continue to fight its lawsuit against Urban Outfitters in federal court in New Mexico.

The tribe sued the company for using the "Navajo" name on a series of products. The company tried to move the case to Pennsylvania, where it is based.

Judge LeRoy Hansen denied the motion in a January 16 decision. The tribe argued that its witnesses include Navajo artisans who live in New Mexico and in surrounding states.

Turtle Talk has posted documents from the case, Navajo Nation v. Urban Outfitters.
