Energy giant suspending offshore drilling operations in Alaska

Energy giant Shell Oil said it was suspending offshore drilling operations in Alaska for the remainder of 2013.

Shell was involved in a series of mishaps in Alaska last year. That prompted the interior Department to launch a review of all offshore drilling operations.

Alaska Natives have been battling Shell due to concerns about subsistence resources.
