Second county approves land agreement with Oneida Nation





A landmark agreement between the Oneida Nation and the state of New York made it through a second county today.

The Madison County Board of Supervisors voted to accept the deal. The county will drop litigation over the tribe's land-into-trust application and taxation of tribal-owned properties.

Officials in Oneida Country accepted the agreement on Tuesday.
